HAMPSHIRE BRANCH RALLY AND

SOUTHERN REGIONAL RALLY

22 JUNE 2003

Another successful rally for the Hampshire Branch with our second year at the Milestones Museum Basingstoke. We would like to thank everyone who attended, especially all of you who looked out from behind the curtains on Sunday morning to be greeted by thunderstorms and still decided to come.

Your effort, and that of the helpers in setting up the site, was well rewarded as at 9.30 am on time the skies cleared and the sun dried out everything even the traders huddled under a tarpaulin. Entries flocked in with tales of torrential rain, but they could now set up their picnics and enjoy the day. The Silent Austin 7 Club again arrived in force giving a good show of interesting cars, alongside the contours cars on display.

The Museum has an extensive display of motoring memorabilia starting with the Tasker collection of steam engines and going on to the Hampshire collection Thornyncoft lorries and buses; it also houses the AA collection and

is well worth a follow up visit to take it all in.
