20 JUNE 2004

Our rally at the Museum of Army Flying at Middle Wallop was deemed to be a success by all who attended.  A windswept site, being an airfield, it was a variable day weather wise, windy, sunny and on the odd occasion quite wet.  The museum itself proved to be a big attraction, was well worth a visit and was well attended, as was the restaurant.  Fortunately due to the good offices of one of the museum staff in opening the gates, we were able to gain access to the field early.  The museum does not open until 0945 and that would have been a bit late in the day.

We had 69 cars booked in and 69 turned up on the day plus traders.  Those that had booked, but did not attend, were made up for by those that checked in on the day.

This being our 25th anniversary year, our prizes of engraved glasses were made by Chris Warby of Friday Bridge in Cambridgeshire and were well received as being somewhat different.

Due to the uncertainty of the weather, the prize giving was brought forward.
